Chinese delegation visits Lentse & Slingerland Potgrond

A group of 35 horticultural professionals from China visited the production location of Lentse & Slingerland Potgrond in Katwijk (province of Noord-Brabant) on Wednesday the 24th of April.

Dutch horticulture is held in high regard in China and, as part of the 2019 study tour of the Netherlands high-tech agriculture and industrial chain, the Chinese delegation is visiting a number of leading producers in the Netherlands. The objective of their mission is to build expertise and to investigate the possibility of importing Dutch horticultural products. The group was made up of growers, distributors, members of branch organisations and others.

Lentse & Slingerland Potgrond has recently begun to increase its activities in China. ‘Welcoming this delegation fits in perfectly with our international strategy of getting more closely in touch with growing economies such as China’, says Lentse & Slingerland Potgrond’s Jeroen Dunant. ‘The growing purchasing power of Chinese consumers, together with a significant number of large-scale horticultural projects initiated by the Chinese authorities, mean that opportunities for Dutch businesses in China are also on the increase’.
